To ensure that we meet our aspirations, and to oversee the quality of our research, we have invited local leaders and respected Behavior Analysts and researchers to serve on our Research Review Committee. The committee meets regularly to review new and ongoing research at Florida Children’s Institute.
Research Review Committee
Angela R. Mann, Ph.D., BCBA, NCSP
Angela Mann is a Licensed Psychologist in the state of Florida, a Nationally Certified School Psychologist, and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. She is also an Assistant Professor of Psychology at the University of North Florida, where she researches issues related to the school-to-prison pipeline, means of improving behavioral parent training, and best practices for supporting families raising youth with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
David Cox, Ph.D., M.S., BCBA
Dr. Cox received his Board Certification in Behavior Analysis in 2011 and his Ph.D. in Psychology, specialization in Behavior Analysis, from the University of Florida in 2018 under Dr. Jesse Dallery. He is currently a post-doc researcher in the Behavioral Pharmacology Research University at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. His areas of clinical specialization are severe behavior, stereotypy, and automatically maintained behavior. His research focuses on translating basic findings into clinical practice and the practical application of quantitative models of preference and choice behavior. Dr. Cox loves spending time with his wife, hanging with his doggies, running, and playing/watching/enjoying the greatest game on earth – baseball.
Sara Bollman, M.S., BCBA
A Board Certified Behavior Analyst who has been providing applied behavior analysis services since 2007, Sara Bollman is Director of Training for Behavior Change Institute. Sara earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado and completed her board certification course sequence in Behavior Analysis through the University of Colorado Denver. Prior to joining BCI, she was director of an ABA Clinic where she specialized in staff training and clinical quality assurance. Sara is committed to using research-based training techniques to improve the quality of life for individuals and communities.
